Parking
Unfortunately, when we inspected it last week, the field we were designated for parking was extremely overgrown and unfit for use by cars so we are unable to use it for this event.
Main parking will now be in the Lake Manchester Day Use Area (see map below) with excess vehicles to park safely and legally along the verge beside Lake Manchester Road.
Volunteer marshals will be on hand to help direct you where to park and to inform you once the Day Use Area is full.
If parking on the roadside, please take care to leave plenty of room for normal traffic flow in both directions and to leave all gates and driveways clear. While it is unsealed, please remember this is a well-used public road and you will need to park according to all usual road rules and etiquette.

Bib collection
Race numbers will be available for collection on race day only (see Schedule above). You must wear your number throughout the event, both to receive an official time and so that we can keep track of who has finished.

Course Marking
runher Lake Manchester will be quite different to a road running event in that you will be required to keep an eye out for course markings as follows:
- The course will be marked with a combination coloured directional arrows, along with pink and yellow reflective tape.
- Each directional arrow colour defines the route of a particular course. 21km runners will follow Pink arrows, 10km runners will follow Blue arrows and 4.4km runners will follow Yellow arrows.
- The flagging tape will be placed immediately following a track junction to confirm you are on the correct track. Markings on sections where there are no route options or intersections will more be spread out and irregular.
- Unless otherwise marked or directed, participants should follow the most major track at all intersections. If there is no marking at a minor track junction then continue along the major track.
- There may be occasions where other park users are passing you heading in the opposite direction, or overtaking from behind, and in these instances the etiquette is the same as that when driving on the road: keep left.
- Please follow all course markers, do not deviate from the course, and obey the instructions of the race officials at all times.
-
Compulsory Gear
21km and 10km: Participants must have a water bottle or hydration vest with capacity to carry a minimum of 500mL of fluids. This must be carried with you for the duration of the run. A mobile phone and snake bandage are highly recommended for all participants
4.4km: No mandatory gear but we recommend carrying a minimum of 500mL of fluid. A mobile phone and snake bandage are highly recommended for all participants.

Participant safety
We have taken considerable care in event planning to ensure that the events are safe and enjoyable. There are a few key points that you need to be aware of:
- Please ensure that you listen to and follow any marshal directions.
- Many of the trails in this area are not very widely used so they can feel more remote than some others in SE Queensland. Please consider your own health and safety and that of any minors in your care at all times.
- On the back of your bib is the race director’s phone number should you encounter any issues while participating in the event.
-
Code of conduct
We expect that participants of the runher Trail Race events will be mindful of the fact that we are guests at Lake Manchester:
- Participants found littering or vandalising any section of the course will be disqualified from the event. There are no bins on course – please make sure that anything you take on to the course comes back with you. Rubbish bins will be provided at the event precinct.
- Participants are to remain on the marked courses at all times. Do not trespass on neighbouring properties or natural areas.
- Participants and spectators must drive to and from the event safely and be considerate of where they park. Do not park or drive on private premises.
- Please be considerate of residents of in the proximity of the event precinct and keep noise at a minimum when arriving at and leaving the event.
